Brazil coach praises Cuba serve, attack

Brazil's Fabiana Claudino dominates the net

Jose Roberto Guimaraes (Brazil, head coach): It was a good experience for Cuba and for Brazil. It was a tough game, especially Cuba's serving and attacking, which gave us a hard time. When Ortiz and Santos came into the game for Cuba, they really changed the rhythm.

Fofao (Brazil, captain): It was a hard game for both Brazil and Cuba and both teams were highly motivated. We were lucky that we could get this good result.

Sheilla Castro (Brazil): When our serve was good we were able to play well, and as the captain said we were lucky to win this game.

Felipe Calderon (Cuba, head coach): It was a good game but also a tough one because the level of the Brazilian players is very high, and they are all tall. They are the No. 1 team in the world rankings, and they were always leading the game. I told my players to keep calm and concentrate.

Daimi Ramirez (Cuba, game captain): It was a very good match and both teams were well prepared to play, but Brazil were stronger and could get the victory.
