Brazil and China keep
unbeaten records
Macau, China, July 2,
2005 – World number two Brazil charged to their fifth
straight win of the 2005 World Grand Prix with another
convincing performance - this time a 3-0 (25-16, 25-16,
26-24) win over Germany in the opening match of day two
of the Macau leg in China.
Jaqueline Carvalho top scored
for the defending champions with 16 points while
Germany's captain Cornelia Dumler did her best to lead
her troops with 15 points.
Olympic champions China did
the same by beating beat Poland 3-0 (25-18, 25-13,
25-14) to go top of the table, ahead of Brazil and Cuba
on point ratio difference.
