victorious on first day
 Seoul, Korea, July 1,
2005 - The opening day's action in Seoul on Friday has
been completed with world number eight Korea
surprisingly being taken to five sets in beating a
youthful looking USA side 3-2 (25-23, 13-25, 21-25,
25-15, 15-13) while Japan continued their impressive
form by collecting their third win in four matches with
a 27-25, 25-22, 25-17 win over the Dominican Republic,
who are still looking for their first victory.
The next
matches in Seoul are on Saturday where USA takes on the
Dominican Republic at 06:00 GMT (15:00 local time)
followed by Japan's match against Korea at 09:00 GMT (18:00 local time).
