Cuba are a must-see
team

the Philippines, June 28, 2005 – Fans are clambering to
find a ticket for the opening match in Manila where
Olympic bronze medallists Cuba, one of the form teams in
women’s Volleyball at present, will take on Thailand at
09:00 GMT ( 17:00 local time).
Cuba are in third place on the World Grand Prix table
with three straight victories while Thailand have yet to
win but local fans are desperate to watch high-class
women’s Volleyball and they know the opening day’s play
will provide it.
In a superb double header, world number four Italy take
on the Netherlands, ranked 14th, in the second match at
11:00 GMT (19:00 local time), which is another pulsating
fixture. Both sides have a 2-1 record and have made big
impressions already in the tournament to date.
