World Grand Prix
Courmayeur,
Italy, June 3, 2005 – Last year's World Grand Prix
finalists - Brazil and Italy - continued their
impressive form at the second Aosta Volley trophy at the foot of Mont
Blanc in Courmayeur, Italy after collecting their third
victories in as many matches on Friday.

In what is one of many tournaments giving World Grand Prix
competitors vital match time ahead of the premier annual
women's tournament, which starts on June 24, World Grand Prix
champions Brazil, who currently have a second squad in
the USA, beat
Serbia and Montenegro, 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-19) while
returned from Thursday's rest day to beat Russia 3-0
(25-19, 25-19, 25-22).
Both sides remain on top of the five-team table and will
play on Saturday's final day to decide who wins the
tournament. Saturday also sees Russia play Germany while
Serbia and Montenegro have the bye.
