Dominican Republic
continue preparation in China
 Tianjin,
China, May 18, 2005 - The Dominican Republic women’s
national team continued its successful tour playing
friendly matches in China in preparation for the Pan
American Cup and the World Grand Prix with two more
convincing victories.
In their last two matches, the Dominicans beat the
University of Nankai and the Tianjin Province Team which
both featured a spectacular performance from Sidarka
Nunez inparticular.

The potent righthander scored 24 points against the
Nankai Team and followed that up with 25 against Tianjin.
The Dominicans won the first match 25-22, 25-19, 25-15
with Annerys Vargas following Nunez with 20 points and
Cindy Rondon scoring nine.
Against Tianjin, the score was 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 22-25,
25-17) and Yudelkis Bautista totalled 20 points, Rondon
added 17 and libero Evelyn Carrera completed 42
receives.
