Reggio
Calabria is the extreme south-western region of
Italy, washed by the Tyrrhenian Sea and the lonian.
It is an essentially mountainous region, bordered
by a wild and beautiful coastline. The region of
Reggio Calabria also offers a rich heritage of
remains from the Roman Age, such as baths,
theaters and bridges.
The region was previously
part of the Empire of Byzantium, which influence
is still visible in the religious buildings
