At
only 22-year’s of age Dae-Young Jung is one of the
brightest stars in the Korean national side as she
develops into one of the leading defensive players on
the international circuit.
Still with plenty to learn Jung has been making the
most of her recent call up to the national side (2001)
and thriving in the couldron of international
volleyball.
Although slower than most of her team mates the 183cm
tall Jung is molding herself on the best defensive
blockers in the game, making for a big future in the
sport.
Volleyball is a team sport and her role at the
defensive end is helping Korea forge a competitive
unit, which is building into a team, which is on the
verge of upsetting some of the big guns.
The 2003 World Grand Prix is her second appearance in
the premier women’s annual event and she will be
much better for it.
