Outstanding performance of Russia has enhanced their final victory.
After the aggressive match against China, the final victory of the FIVB World Grand Prix 2002 went to Russia.
Russia started off the match with a series of powerful attacks. Player number 9, Tichtchenko, has demonstrated many effective quick attacks. Besides, player number 14, Plotinkova, has helped assisting attacks all through the game. Her effort has created chances for Gamova and Artamonova's strong spikes. In addition, Gamova's serves have directly contributed to the team's victory.
Although China was beaten by Russia, their inputs were remarkable. The China captain, Feung Kun, had set and block fabulously. Also, player number 3, Yang Hao had scored many points both with her spikes and serves. Due to lack of experience, the China team did not have a good grasp of chances in set 1 and 3. They have made mistakes in servings and receiving which were crucial to their defeat.
