Germany defeats Brazil, 25-18, 25-18, 25-22
Germany bunked on the explosive performances of Angelina Gruen and Brigit Thumm to pull off a 25-18, 25-18, 25-22 victory over Brazil.

The Germans displayed awesome defense courtesy of Olessya Kulakova and Gruen to take a 19-11 lead en route to winning the first set.

The Brazilians, led by Marina Daloca And Welissa Gonzaga, rallied from a 5-12 deficit to a 16-19 score before the Germans fought back to win the second set.

Germany delivered well in the third set, taking a 20-14 advantage but Brazil was able to close in at 20-22 behind the brilliant games of Valesska Menezes and Paula Pequeno.

The Germans tightened their defense anew with Sylvia Roll and Gruen taking charge of the attacks to win the match.
