It was the close game in the beginning of the 1st set, then JPN made effective service points Takahashi, JPN captain and ace spiker used wide variety of spikes to get enough margin on the score 17:9. Kodama made another service point to assist Takahashi. Although Koijapo of THA hit back row spikes to chase JPN, Hourai and Otomo used their heights for spikes and block and gained the 1st set 25:14.
THA became active in the middle of 2nd set. Sangmuang blocked Otomo's spike after the long rally, and Nokputta hit hard spikes from the right and gained the points 13:12. Kodama, JPN setter, used JPN attackers very well and showed wide variety of combination offenses. And Tanaka finished the set 25: 18 with her service point.
There were quite good competitive rallies in the beginning of the 3rd set, however, JPN's hard and fast services made THA receivers unable to return balls to setter properly and that made JPN control the game easily. Mukai made a service point to finish up the set 25:13.
