Born in Ramos Mejía (Capital
Federal, Buenos Aires) on November 25, 1977, 1.70 m high,
59 kilos.
María Laura Vincente began playing Volleyball at the age
of 13 in 1990 in Estudiantil Porteño. She played there
for five years before moving to the famous Boca Juniors
Club, where she enjoyed a four stint and developed a
passion for the Boca Juniors football club. In 1998 she
was named the best defense of the South American Clubs
Cup. In 1999 she moved to another popular club in
Gimnasia y Esgrima de Buenos Aires after which she moved
to Club Náutico Hacoaj and Francia Club until 2001. She
currently plays in Velez Sarsfield club, while in her
third year studying psychology.
Vincente’s international career started with the 1999
South American Championship and World Cup in Japan.
Now the awesome attacker and Argentine captain, who can
speak English and French on top of her native language,
has 69 international matches to her name and dreams of
playing in the Olympic Games.
