At 30-year’s-of-age
Noureddine Hfaiedh is one of Tunisia’s most experienced
players and plays one of the commanding roles in the
national team.
The spiker started his Volleyball career in a small club
in Tunisia named Hawaria before moving to Safax, one of
the major Tunisian teams and then Etoile de Sahel,
another major club, where he won three African Club
Championships.
With the national team he has won four African Nations
Championships in the last five competitions 95, 97, 99
and 2003 and has been part of the Tunisian side, which
qualified to the World Cup three times in 95, 99 and
2003. He won also the Arab Championship in 2002.
Now playing professionally in Greece for Paok Salonique,
he helped them qualify to the European Championship and
will be a vital member of the Tunisian side during the
World Cup.
