Welissa Gonzaga contributed with three aces. Brazil took a clear lead (9-2) and the Brazilian players used their potential in attacking and blocking in order to complete the set at 25-12. As well as in the first two sets, the Greek team wes not able to compete with the strong Brazilian formation in the third set, although the Greek players never gave up. After 14-14, Greece found back their old strength. However, it was not enough to win a set 25-23. For Greece the dream ended, but the defeat against Brazil was expected. The Greek formation has to hope that the results of the other teams will be ok, so the Greeks can proceed to the next round. Brazil can take a seat in the next round by defeating Thailand on Tuesday. Luciana Nascimento was with 16 points the main scorer.
