France defeated Argentina in the quarterfinals of the 2002 Men's World Championship and proceeds to the semifinals. The French team was able to stay calm against the home crowd favorites and took the 3-1 victory in front of more than 10,000 fans. On Friday, France will face Russia in the semifinal, while Argentina will play against Greece in the classification match for the fifth till eight place.
