Men's World Championship 2002 - Press Info

Press Conference

Brazil beat Netherlands 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-20) - duration 1:12
06-Oct, start time: 14:10, end time: 15:22 - Attendance: 5,000
Reinder Nummerdor (Captain NED): "It was very difficult to play against a team like Brazil. There are many things that didn't work out. We didn't play that bad; our opponents played at a very good level."

Nalbert Bitencourt (Captain BRA): "I'm very happy with this victory. The Netherlands is always a difficult team. Now we have to get ready for the quarterfinals."

Bert Goedkoop (Head Coach NED): "I'm a bit disappointed not because of this game in particular but because of our performance during the second round. I don't think we played the best we can. Brazil played very well. They deserved to win."

Bernardo Rezende (Head Coach BRA): "We played three very good games and that makes the team more confident for the quarterfinals. The changes in the third set were because I wanted to give other players the chance to play and get them fit. The team has to be ready for the quarterfinals."
