Press Conference

Argentina beat Bulgaria 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-14, 25-19) - duration 1:40
05-Oct, start time: 21:10, end time: 22:50 - Attendance: 10,250
Nikolay Ivanov (Captain BUL) "I want to congratulate Argentina. We didn't play well, but I consider that if we would have played well, we wouldn't win anyway".

Q: How much the crowd influenced in your game?
A: "I think that it didn't, anyway every team would wish to have Argentines fans".

Q: You look upset about the referees. Do you think that there was any kind of favoritism?
A: "I think that after a lost, we don't have to excuse our mistakes with the referee's discussions. We didn't play in a good level and I think that the referees did the best that they could in their job".

Marcos Milinkovic (Captain ARG) "Luckily the team played like we were practicing before the World Championship. We were patience and we though that the team had to appeared. The game that Argentina showed as well as the result says it all".

Q: What do you feel right now?
A: "I feel an incredible happiness as everyone and I please to know that our sacrifice was worth it. We support critics from journalists and authorities and that's why the happiness is for them that in the bottom they are also Argentines."

Q: After playing in this level and beating and important rival. What do you expect next?
A: "There are lots of thing to change. We are not comforted with this victory; we are going to face important rivals from now on. Tomorrow against Italy we'll try to win because we want to finish first in the Pool.

Assen Galabinov (Head Coach BUL) "I agree with the captain. Obviously our team couldn't recover from yesterdays' match. We didn't show our best and that's what the result reflect".

Carlos Getzelevich (Head Coach ARG) "I congratulate my players because they believed in work. They trained hardily, suffered lots of critics but they achieve this victory. The match that they played was performed in the way that we want to do it. The start, the pressure and the nerves had put in a second place our capacity".

Q: What did you say to the players that they changed so much their game and their attitude from yesterdays match?
A: "The attitude was always the same. What changed was that the team felt free of pressures and that individually each player had a better performance".

Q: How will you concentrate for tomorrows match?
A: "Now we are going to celebrate until we arrive to Ezeiza's building. We proposed at the beginning of the year to be in the first eight and we accomplished that. Now we are going to enjoy this victory and then we will think about tomorrows match."
