Kenya secure second win at World Championship Qualifiers


Kenya team celebrated their second win atthe CAVB African World Championship qualifier

Nairobi, Kenya, February 17, 2014 - Hosts Kenya defeated Mozambique 3-0 (25-12, 25-9, 25-18) in the CAVB 2014 FIVB Women’s World Championships Qualifiers on Monday.

The victory at Moi International Sports Center, Nairobi meant Kenya took their record to two wins and no defeats, while for Mozambique the loss was their second defeat in two matches. 

Earlier on day two of the qualifiers Uganda defeated Seychelles 3-2 (19-25, 22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 15-12) in their first match, while Tunisia shrugged off the stiff challenge from Senegal to earn their second straight victory of the tournament with a hard fought 3-1 (25-17, 23-25, 25-20, 25-15) victory.
