Ghana , Nigeria, en la fase final de la clasificación para el Campeonato Mundial Femenino.


El equipo femenino de Nigeria recibió sus medallas de plata en la zona 3 de clasificación

 
Abidjan , Costa de Marfil , 30 de noviembre de 2013 - Los equipos de voleibol femenino de Ghana y Nigeria han asegurado su ingreso a la fase final del Campeonato Mundial Femenino FIVB 2014 después de que terminaron en las dos primeras posiciones en la zona 3 (Grupo O) de la clasificación Africana celebrada en el Foro de la Universidad de Cocody, en Abiyán , Costa de Marfil.

Ghana derrotó a Togo por 3-0 ( 25-15 , 25-11 , 25-18 ) consiguiendo su tercera victoria consecutiva en el torneo de cuatro naciones. Ghana alcanzó la medalla de oro con un registro de 3 victorias y 0 derrotas ( 8 puntos) .

Nigeria venció a Costa de Marfil por 3-0 ( 25-23 , 25-19 , 25-12 ) , para mejorar su registro a 2 victorias y una derrota ( 6 puntos) para así terminar segundo y clasificarse para la fase final, mientras que Costa de Marfil se redujo a 1 -2 ( 4 puntos ). Togo terminó cuarto con 0-3 .

Ghana y Nigeria se unirán ahora al primer grupo de la fase final, junto con Argelia , Botswana, Camerún, RD Congo y Egipto
