"We are the youngest team in the tournament with a group that is growing. I'm very happy to be here in the South American Championship. We have developed a great deal in recent years we believe we are ready for the 2014 Women's World Championship Qualification Tournament in Argentina."
Venezuela - Sergio Rivero
"This is Venezuela’s return to the international stage after two years of not having regular participation. For the short preparation time with the team this competition will be the basis for participation 2014 Women's World Championship Qualification Tournament in Argentina. My group has the experience but lack international tours."
Peru - Sun Jin Hong
"The team has prepared very well and is slowly improving, changing their style of play. They now play faster although the group had some difficulty getting used to a faster gameplay. But we succeeded. Our team is better now unlike in previous competitions and we have worked very hard to get here. "
Columbia - Mauro Marasciulo
"Our goal this year is to start our preparations again on the road to the 2016 Olympic Games. This South American Championship is the first step. We now have some of the best players from the age-group categories with us. We would like to win a medal here in Ica and improve our fourth place result from 2011."
Brazil - José Roberto Guimarães
"For us this South American is the most important competition of the year because it mean qualification for the 2014 World Championship and the Grand Champions Cup. One of our goals is to keep this continental title again this year."
Argentina - Guillermo Orduna
