Turkey prepared well for Peru - Ozsoy

Turkey's Neriman Ozsoy said her side was better on "attack, blocking and everything. I'm happy we won 3-0, it was a clear result for us."
Turkey No. 13 Neriman Ozsoy:
"I think we played very well today because we prepared our tactics well. Peru is a good team, but we were better on attack, blocking and everything. I'm happy we won 3-0, it was a clear result for us.

Why was it tight at the start of the sets but easier at the end? "Normally, most teams concentrate well at the start, but sometimes in a game you lose your concentration and, of course, your coach is trying to stop this from happening. During this time, you can make a mistake or lose your concentration, but today we were OK."

Turkey coach Mehmet Bedestenlioglu:
"First, I want to congratulate our players and the Peru team. At the beginning, they used the middle blockers very well, so that was difficult to counter. Once we had sorted out our defence and blocking, things worked well down the middle. So we did OK and had no problems."

Regarding the Poland game on Wednesday: "Tomorrow is a really important day for both us and Poland. If we can execute the tactics we are now making for this game, I'm sure we can win. Our players have the motivation to beat them. We'll have to play good Volleyball."

Peru captain Leyla Chihuan:
"We wanted to play well against Turkey, but they had the advantage in height, power and good positioning, so things didn't work well with our serve reception and block, and that was the main reason for our loss today."

Peru coach Kim Cheol Yeong:
"Our serve reception and defence was poor and we couldn't find any rhythm today, and that's why we didn't win today. In the end, we lost our focus and the players on the left started to fall apart."
