Kuzyutkin content after Russia rout China

Russia coach Vladimir Kuzyutkin declared his satisfaction that his team's "serves, blocks and attacks all worked well tonight".

Russia coach Vladimir Kuzyutkin:
"I'm satisfied with our performance in Osaka. We overcame all the challenges we faced. China are a good team. Our serves, blocks and attacks all worked well tonight."

Russia captain Maria Borodakova:
"We played really well. Especially our blocking and defence. We want to carry this on to the second round."

Russia player Ekaterina Gamova:
"Our serves worked well from the beginning. Our attacks and blocks were good. We won many points on attack."

China coach Yu Juemin:
"They are one of the strongest teams. Their serves, blocks and attacks put us under great pressure."

China captain Wei Qiuyue:
"Russia played really well. They were exceptional on serves and blocks. We had a chance to win the first set."

China player Zhou Suhong:
"Their attacking power was enormous. They put great pressure on us throughout the match."
