Turkey coach says fatigue forced match to five sets

"Playing three days in a row is very hard. We were tired," said Turkey coach Mehmet Bedestenlioglu.

Turkey coach Mehmet Bedestenlioglu:
"Playing three days in a row is very hard. We were tired. I'm glad we won, but it wasn't satisfactory. We were leading 2-0 and 16-13 in the third set but lost our concentration and they got back in the match."

Turkey captain Esra Gumus:
"This game was very difficult for us. It was tough psychologically."

Turkey player Neslihan Darnel:
"We played well the first two sets and then stopped. I don't know why."

Turkey setter Naz Aydemir:
"Our brave girls outfought them in the end. I told my captain that I was 10 years older after the game."

Dominican Republic coach Marcos Kwiek:
"We had trouble receiving today. Our match only began in the third set. We have not played well so far and we will train tomorrow and try to regroup."

Dominican Republic captain Milagros Cabral:
"We caught up with them but unfortunately could not win."

Dominican Republic player Prisilla Rivera:
"It was a very exciting match. We want to perform at 100 per cent in our next match."
