Brazil told to 'improve' despite Czech win

Press conference with the captains Ivana Plchotova CZE, Fabiana Claudino BRA and headcoaches Jiri Siller CZE and Jose Roberto Guimaraes
Brazil coach Jose Guimaraes (Ze Roberto):
“The Czech team did a very good game tonight, better than yesterday. They served very well, and we didn’t receive in a good situation for the setter. They are very tall players and very good technically. We have to improve much more tomorrow against Holland, and after Puerto Rico and Italy.”
Brazil captain Fabiana:
Brazil is now becoming a better team. For the first set defeat, we made more mistakes than we expected. We need to raise our level, in terms of blocking, serving and defending.
Czech coach Jiri Siller:
“We tried to serve well and have good blocks at the net. It was great to play well against a team such as Brazil. It will help us more for the next matches. During the preparation time we got a lot of injuries. Now we are playing here complete. This is good for the next matches, hopefully.“
Czech captain Ivana Plchotova:
“The is the first time this team played against Brazil. All the first sets were good point after point. We knew if we arrived in a fifth set there would be big problems to win.”
