Ankara, Turkey, October 19, 2010 – Turkey coach Mehmet Bedestenlioglu said his team's preparations were complete for the 2010 FIVB Women's World Championship as they prepared to depart for Japan.
The Turkish squad reported a clean bill of health with every player coming through the training programme uninjured and Bedestenlioglu sounded an optimistic note ahead of his side's departure.
Bedestenlioglu said: "Our preparations came to an end while our concentration is increasing as we approach the first day of the championship. We are leaving for Japan one week before in order not to have any problems acclimatising. We will have two more exhibition matches to test our condition. The first three matches in the group are the indicator for our ranking."
Turkey will be based in Pool D in Osaka. Their opening game is against China on 29 October and they will then face Russia, Dominican Republic, Canada and Korea.
