Excluding the professionals, TV Asahi came out on top with NTV claiming second and TBS coming third.
“We enjoy this event every year,” Japan captain Erika Araki, who was a referee on the day, said. “This year, we have World Grand Prix and World Championship, and we feel every event is important for us. The players and staff will get together and do our best, so we would like to have support from the media as well.”
“It was my first time to climb on the referee stand, so it was a new fun experience for me!” Araki added. “I feel the level of the event is rising every year. Sometimes, I have to complain against the referee (during the match), but perhaps I better not do that from now on.”
