Selinger: Dutch paid for lack of consistency

It was a very tough match for the Netherlands as they battled hard without a positive result

Poland coach Jerzy Matlak:
"I'm very happy that we won. This gives us a chance to get ninth place in the tournament. It was a tough match, and we could see that after more than two hours of play, both teams were really tired, but they still fought the best they could to win."

Poland captain Anna Werblinska:
"I'm very happy that after some bad play, we won the match. I'm happy to have a chance to achieve ninth place."

Netherlands coach Avital Selinger:
"It was a pretty good match. Both teams played for the win. At times we had ups and downs, and were not consistent enough in our serving and our attack, and eventually Poland were a little bit better in the end. It could have gone either way, there is always one winner, and this time it was Poland. Tomorrow we will do our best to finish the tournament on a high note."

Netherlands captain Manon Flier:
"It was a tough match. I hope the public enjoyed it. We played for ninth place but we couldn't get it. We played better than last time and I would like to focus on tomorrow's match as we want to finish the tournament in a positive way."
