Russia coach relieved after Korea scalp

"We followed our rules and principles. I was worried about this match coming into it and am relieved that we won," said Russia coach Vladimir Kuzyutkin

Russia coach Vladimir Kuzyutkin:
"I'm not too happy. There are two ways to play. One is beautifully while losing, the other is not beautiful but winning. Today it was the latter for us. We followed our rules and principles. I was worried about this match coming into it and am relieved that we won."

Russia captain Maria Borodakova:
"I'm very proud of our whole team. I want to express my gratitude to them. Korea are a team with interesting option plays. We did our homework before this match."

Russia player Tatiana Kosheleva:
"Korea have a good team. I'm glad that we won."

Korea coach Sam-Ryong Park:
"Russia are a very tall team. We had to contend with their height, which presented problems for our attack and defence."

Korea captain Sa-Nee Kim:
"We couldn't win tonight, so we have to accept that we lost. We will try to do better tomorrow."

Korea player Yeon-Koung Kim:
"It was our toughest match. Our serves and receives didn't work. We're all dealing with fatigue. The Russian team did their homework on us."
