We've learned how to combat height says Thai coach

The fast-game tactics of Thai coach Kittiapong Radchatagrienkai bore fruit in the victory over the Netherlands

Thailand coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai:
"We learned a lot from this game. It was a good experience for us. We have learned how to play fast volleyball from Japan, Korea and China to offset our lack of height."

Thailand captain Apinyapong Wilavan:
"I'm very happy with this victory. We tried hard to get points against their strong and tall players. We took it step-by-step. It was not easy."

Dutch coach Avital Selinger:
"They played great. My team started the game very poorly. You have to play at the highest level from the beginning. We made too many unforced errors in crucial moments."

Dutch captain Manon Flier:
"I don't know what happened. We didn't play well. We made many unforced errors. Thailand had a good defense. I am very disappointed. We played our best in the third set, but gave away the fourth with too many errors."
