'Our head was in Rome' - Lozano

Konstantin Mitev did the job as second setter for Bulgaria

Bjorn Andrae, captain of Germany: “It was a very difficult match especially in the second set when we couldn’t find the way to control it. I am really sad because everyone wants to close with a win. I hope this can be a good experience for future tournaments.”

Vladimir Nikolov, captain of Bulgaria: “I am really happy about winning our last match. We have played against a very organized team and won the match above all playing with our second setter (Konstantin Mitev) who played very good today.”

Raul Lozano, coach of Germany: “Congratulations to Bulgaria. They played better than us especially in the last part of each set. It is very difficult to play with your second setter and we should have taken advantage of it. I feel like our head was in Rome.”

Silvano Prandi, coach of Bulgaria: “I want to congratulate the organizers of Modena. Of all the places we played during the tournament, here they had the better quality and the better organization. The World Championship is over for us and we will be working again starting on Monday.”
