We played with grit and determination - Weber

The press conference of the match Argentina vs. Venezuela
Argentina coach Javier Weber: "It has been a good game. Certainly the first set was crucial, because we were able to impose our game, particularly by using the attacks. We took advantage of the errors of the Venezuela team. Our team consists of very young athletes who have played with grit and determination. In the World Championship we play to win and it is important for these players to express themselves."

Argentina captain Rodrigo Quiroga: "I'm happy. I played a perfect game, especially from the tactical point of view. It was important to start this World Championship
well. Our team consists of young players but we are capable of playing well. We trained for only two months and even if there are new elements in our team we have shown that we are competitive. Argentina is a compact team, and right now we think of the next match against Mexico."

Venezuela coach Gilberto Herrera:
"I think all games in the World Championship are complicated, because all the teams are very prepared and expectations are high. We had little time to prepare properly for competition. I believe that our basic skills are good but we must try to improve in the next game."

Venezuela captain Luis Diaz:
"I congratulate Argentina who played a tactically perfect game and have taken advantage of our mistakes. Their game was better than ours. We must feel more relaxed and think about winning the next game to go forward in the World Championship. We arrived in Reggio Calabria two days ago. We were tired and this has affected our performance."
