Serves made the difference says Dutch coach

Coach Avital Selinger of the Netherlands said their serving made the difference against Cuba

Netherlands coach Avital Selinger:
"I think today's match was decided by our great serve. We tried to eliminate their strong attack in the middle. We know they are very athletic. Our preparation was good and we executed well for playing in the morning."

Netherlands captain Manon Flier:
"I'm very satisfied with this result. I'm proud of what my team did. We put a lot of serve pressure on them. We look forward to the next match."

Cuba coach Juan Carlos Gala:
"They did a good job with their serves. We couldn't attack the way we wanted to. Our athletes didn't concentrate. We were no match for them today."

Cuba captain Yusidey Frometa:
"We had trouble receiving and concentrating. The starting time (11:00AM) may have been a factor. This was not the real Cuban team today."
