Our worst game of recent times - Terzic

Serbia coach Zoran Terzic said: "I don't know really, it's difficult to say what is the reason Serbia played a game like that today. Maybe it happens, but I hope it will be only one time in Japan."

Serbia captain Jelena Nikolic:
"We know how important this game was but we could not get into the game. It was one of those days when you feel hopeless. I don't know how to explain it. Sometimes, it happens like this and things don't always go how you want."

Serbia coach Zoran Terzic:
"I want to congratulate the Turkish team. They played well today. What can I say after this game? It's difficult to say something clever. We played maybe the worst game of recent times and I don't really know why. It was a very important game for us. (The game) was too early, but it was also early for the Turkish team. We had a lot of problems. I cannot say it was just one or two because there were so many elements that we didn't make in the right way. Now we must just try to make things better in the next games."
Regarding the captain's comment that it was just “one of those days": "OK, Volleyball is a sport and this happens from time to time – really, it happens when you cannot make nothing. But I can't accept this 100 percent, because it's not a friendly game; it's the World Championship and it's an important game, and you must make more than 100 percent. You must use more than 100 percent of your power in every game if you want to make something. I can't say the players didn't want to play, that is not the reason. I don't know really, it's difficult to say what is the reason Serbia played a game like that today. Maybe it happens, but I hope it will be only one time in Japan."

Turkey top scorer Neslihan Darnel:
"I would like to congratulate Serbia, they played a good game but we were better, I think. We did a lot of good things today and we didn't make so many mistakes, so we are on the right road."
Regarding Serbia's comeback in the first set: "I think we just stopped playing. We lost our concentration, so we started to make a lot of mistakes, personal mistakes, but we got past it and won the first set."
Regarding Serbia's height: "They are tall, so we just try to block them out and play smart."

Turkey coach Mehmet Bedestenlioglu:
"It's the start of the second round and it was an important game for us. I want to congratulate Serbia, they are a strong team. And I want to congratulate my players, they did a good job on court today.
