Bulgaria played a good match says Prandi

Silvano Prandi leads a Bulgaria timeout as his team defeat Spain in four sets to open the third round

Bulgaria captain Vladimir Nikolay: "I’m very glad we won this game. Congratulations to Spain that is very well organized. They fought until the end I’m glad we managed to win."

Spain captain Julian Garcia-Torres: "We played irregularly. It was a point to point fight, sometimes we played better sometimes worse. Bulgaria played very well and for us it was difficult to react in both blocking and receiving."

Bulgaria coach Silvano Prandi: "I knew that my players were nervous today. Their approach was tense and our level of playing was difficult to develop. We played a good match, and I’m satisfied of the final result. I’m happy we won today and I know we were playing against a good team that doesn’t make so many errors."

Spain coach Julio Velasco: "Congratulation to my friend Silvano Prandi. Bulgaria is stronger than us, no doubts, but we can learn from stronger teams. Bulgaria improved very much with Silvano, above all in blocking, and that was the fundamental that made the difference. There is a big difference between the two teams, but I’m glad because we fought till the end even if we had problems in attack."
