Germany's most perfect match - Guidetti

The German team played almost perfect in all the techniques in the match against Thailand
Germany coach Giovanni Guidetti:
"I want to say it was not an easy win because Thailand is really difficult to play against. I had my staff work for a day and a half to prepare for this match because Thailand is a really complicated team to play, so I must congratulate my team for the way they played. In the last four years, it was the most perfect match I have played with this team. It was a pleasure for me to see them make every defense, every block and play with great discipline. If you don't block or defend against the Thais, you lose. I also want to give a special thanks, officially, to my assistant coach, Felix Koslowski; without him, my job would be very, very complicated. He spends hours and hours and hours every day in the video room to give to me good information to play better, so I want to thank him and of course I'm really proud of the way we played today."

Germany captain Christiane Furst:
"I want to thank the Thai team; they are a great team and play very well and are well-organised and play fast. Today, we started out in good shape and concentrated on our goal. For me, it's always really nice to play against Asian teams like that who make a lot of combinations. It's really fun."

Thailand coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai:
"I want to congratulate Germany. Today they showed the quality of their staff and players, who did well in all techniques. It was a complete success for the German team today. Our team had a lot of anxiety and stress and as our techniques started to fail, it didn't help the psychology of the team. Today, our movement, attack, blocking and defense were poor. We had many problems today and if we play like this, we deserve to lose. At the start of the game, we expected to do better than this. Our stress and anxiety came from our opponents who were serving great and making problems for our players. We didn't receive well, so that made problems in our combination play and prevented us from playing as fast as we usually do. All my players moved slow today, so we couldn't be at our best."

Thailand captain Wilavan Apinyapong:
"I want to congratulate Germany. Today, Germany played a very good match in all respects and we played very badly in all respects, so we must think about this and consider all the bad things we did today. Today, we played very slowly. We tried to solve the problem but it was difficult for us because Germany were good at blocking and good in attack."
