Argentina captain Rodrigo Quiroga: "Congratulations to Serbia that won this match. They played very well in both blocking and defense and we made too many faults, maybe because we lacked in experience. We are a young team and we need to learn a bit more for the future matches."
Serbia captain Nikola Grbic: "I am pretty satisfied because we won easily even if I think Argentina is the new revelation of this World Championship, together with Czech Republic. We have a lot of experience and this was the element that made the difference. Congratulations to Argentina, I like their way of playing because it reminds me of Yugoslavia in Atlanta 1996."
Argentina coach Javier Weber: "Congratulations to the Serbians. We served quite well in both the second and third set, but Serbia kept us under pressure. We are playing a good World Championship and we are waiting to face Russia. That would be a crucial match for us."
Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic: "We were nervous before the match because Argentina was playing really well. We had faced them already during the World League, but in this context everything is different. In the second set we blocked very well and those were crucial points to win the match. I think Argentina can seize the opportunity to fight for the podium next time."
