Netherlands coach Avital Selinger:
"For me, the main goal is, one, to maintain rhythm, and, two, to give opportunities to other players to play. For the most part we were successful in that. It seemed maybe that Kenya could not do too much today, but that had a lot to do with the quality of our play. It was our goal to maintain our own high-level of performance."
Netherlands captain Manon Flier:
"I'm happy with the victory. It's good that we had some opportunities to play with some different players today. We played quite well, but made maybe too many errors in the service. It was good to see how Kenya play with a lot of joy. I think we did a good job."
Kenya coach Hidehiro Irisawa:
"We didn't play well enough against a very hard team. We tried to get a point with only one spike, so we weren't ready for longer rallies. We made too many mistakes and walked into a defeat.
"I have mainly focused on reception and discipline, such as keeping rules and being on time. I feel sorry for my players, because they don't have a big gym for practising."
Kenya captain Brackcides Khadambi:
"Today our reception was very poor. That is why they could win 8 straight points. Also our attack was not so good.
"We felt that perhaps we could win the match (at 12-12 in the second set). But after that, our team went down and we lost."
