Giacobbe rates Russian serve best in the world

Russians enjoy their powerful performance against Egypt

Ashraf Abouelhassan (Captain of EGY): Today we played well but the Russians played much better than us. Their serves and blocks are very strong. I hope we can play a good game against Spain and advance to the next round.

Sergey Makarov (Captain of RUS): We had some difficulties against Egypt in the first set but then we improved in the next two sets and dominated with the outcome in three sets. Egypt was a determined team in the first set and I am very proud of the way we recovered for the rest of the match.

Antonio Giacobbe (Coach of EGY): I think the service of Russia is the best in the world because they have a lot of players in their side with that ability. When they are able to put some services like that it is very difficult for the opponent. The service is the door to start the action and when you combine that with a good block all I can say is that it is not easy. Congratulations to Russia.

Daniele Bagnoli (Coach of RUS): Tonight we have played a good game but not our best. We have played against Egypt before so we knew a lot about their team. Our next game is against Spain which is a team we don’t know so much. But it is a team with different characteristics than Egypt. We played good but also we need to improve when the time comes of facing the stronger teams.
