Win thanks to the supporters - Simon

Robertlandy Simon Aties (CUB), Cuba head coach Samuel Blackwood and Julian Garcia-Torres (ESP) at the press conference
Spain captain Julián García Torres: "It was a very good match but it was not enough to win. We suffered Cuba’s spikes and our blocks could not stop them too many times. But we are satisfied since we played during the match at the same level of Cuba. Our target is the 2nd phase. Cuba and Brazil are stronger than us, we would like to play good during all the tournament."

Cuba captain Robertlandy Simon Aties: "Although we had technical and tactical difficulties, we got the match thanks to the people who supported our desire to win a such important match like this."

Spain coach Julio Velasco: "Congratulations to my players as well as to Cuba’s ones. I asked to my team to not suffer the physical strength of Cuba and they did it right. It was important a good defense, waiting for Cuba’s faults. I am very satisfied of their technical and mental performance. About tomorrow? We do not want to beat an expert and so good team like Brazil, but we will try to keep improving. To win against Tunisia is  the most important thing now."

Cuba coach Orlando Blackwood: "Our team is so young and we have got a strong physical power. The World Championship is an important competition and for us it's important to face day by day next matches."
