Italian coach Massimo Barbolini:
"After three matches, all the 14 players in my team have played. This can be useful, this fact, because all the players must know what it means to play at this level.
"We played against Kenya three years ago in the World Cup, and the development of this team since then is very good. They play some situations very well. They did not get so many points in the first two sets because we played very well. They are improving their level a lot."
Italian captain Eleonora Lo Bianco:
"I would like to congratulate the Kenyan team. They have improved a lot during these years. We prepared for this game like we do every one. We want to continue to play well and improve day after day."
Kenya coach Hidehiro Irisawa:
"We had a meeting last night. The captain asked us to use other players as well. The right wing players did very well today and that's what happened.
"We trained for two weeks prior to this competition. The captain Brackie was the centre of the team, and we had five veteran players. We worked very well today, and the captain instilled a good atmosphere in the whole team. We've had a really good few days, and I hope we can do better and better."
Kenya captain Brackcides Khadambi:
"The first set and second sets we were very afraid. We were not sure if we could play well or not. But then the head coach told us 'Even if we lose, it doesn't matter: just do your best'. In the third set, we played with all our heart and did our best. If we continue playing with this mindset, we will do better. It was the best game we have played. But I know we can do better than that."
