Czech Republic coach Jan Svoboda gives instructions to his team during a timeout against China
Ondrej Hudecek, Czech Republic captain: “A great victory, this game was very important for us and also for China. Tomorrow we have to increase our game quality to play better. Yesterday we lost a balanced game, and were unhappy. Today we can celebrate this victory."

Shen Qiong, China captain: “Even if we lost the game, we played good Volleyball and in the fourth set we played until the end. We beat France in the World League, but the match that we will play tomorrow will be harder."

Jan Svoboda, Czech Republic coach: “We won a sort of final for this pool. We played better than yesterday especially in the most important moments of the match. We had some errors - we are not perfect - but we are happy. Tomorrow, versus a strong Bulgaria, we will try to play better and better."

Zhou Jianan, China coach: “A very important match for this pool. We had a lot of errors, but we remain concentrated until the end of the game even if we lost. We played better than yesterday and we also try tomorrow to win the game versus France."

Petr Konecny, Czech Republic: “I'm very happy. Today we gained the first win in the World Championship. It was a very balanced match, but we played better than yesterday versus France in the topic of the match. And now we try to pass to the second round. Tomorrow we will try to take the best result. Bulgaria is a very strong team. But we are happy, very happy."

Jan Stokr, Czech Republic: "We were nervous because of the importance of the match. We were heavy in the legs, the pressure was very high and we suffer for it. But the difference was the defense, that supply the synchronization problems with our setter. We win a great game, we knew that it was possible. Yesterday we were sad, today we are very, very happy."
