Giba, Brazil captain: "Spain is a team who does not make many faults"

Spain's Palharini attacking against Vissotto and Rodrigao
Julian Garcia Torres, Spain captain: "We played another good match, until the third set. It was a pity losing the first set after going ahead 24-21. In the last set Brazil started brightly and it was too hard come back to equality. For us the crucial match is tomorrow, against Tunisia."

Giba, Brazil captain: "A strong see-saw match. Spain is a team who does not make many faults. Now we have to relax so we can have all the energies for tomorrow, the match with Cuba will be extemely important. Moreover, I try to support always my teammates even from the bench in order to give them more confidence. The group is very important for us."

Julio Velasco, Spain coach: "I agree with the captains, tonight was a good match. There is so much to learn from Brazil, especially beacuse they have a great ability to deal with unpredictable situations. We played good in the standard situations but we paid for when the rallies were not standard. Tomorrow the match will be decisive for us."

Bernardo Rezende, Brazil coach:  "Good match, Spain put us in difficulty with their tactical intelligence. We made too many faults, particularly in the first set in attack. They put on us a lot of pressure and this is what we need to improve our consistancy. (About the next match): We and Cuba share the same problems: to much up-and-down. They are very skilled physically and we need to play smartly in order to get the first place."
