Four teams gunning for final African men’s ticket

Tunis, Tunisia, July 28, 2005 – Tunisia will host South Africa, Morocco and Algeria as all four teams hope to claim the second and final African ticket to the 2006 Men’s World Championship final round at the African Pool C second round tournament, which starts on Thursday.

The tournament is the last of the African men’s World Championship action with the winner of the four team tournament joining Egypt who won their second round tournament in March.

Tunisia (ranked 19th in the world) and Algeria (28th) are expected to fight it out for the tournament honours but Morocco (38th) and South Africa (49th), who advanced from the first round, can not be discounted.

Each team will play each other over three days with two games per day finishing on Saturday.
