Four teams
gunning for final African men’s ticket
Tunis,
Tunisia, July 28, 2005 – Tunisia will host South Africa,
Morocco and Algeria as all four teams hope to claim the
second and final African ticket to the 2006 Men’s World
Championship final round at the African Pool C second
round tournament, which starts on Thursday.
The tournament is the last of the African men’s World
Championship action with the winner of the four team
tournament joining Egypt who won their second round
tournament in March.
Tunisia (ranked 19th in the world) and Algeria (28th)
are expected to fight it out for the tournament honours
but Morocco (38th) and South Africa (49th), who advanced
from the first round, can not be discounted.
Each team will play each other over three days with two
games per day finishing on Saturday.
