Brazil coach Leo happy with the performance, sad to lose the epic encounter

Brazil coach was happy with the performance although he lost against Russia

Russian Coach Mikhail Nikolaev:

I was worried about this game. Brazilian teams fundamental is very well. We really wanted to win. My players did their best and never gave up. I'm happy about the result. We will have difficult games with strong teams. We must play better to qualify.

Russian Captain Egor Feoktistov:

I'm very happy about the result and I promise to be better in the other games.

Brazil Coach Leonardo Carvalho:

First of all, I would like to congratulate the Russian team. They are very strong especially in attack and block. In my opinion they played a good match today especially in reception and defence. To win one match like this we must play much better. We had a chance to win but, we made mistakes in reception, we had to be more aggressive. We are not happy with the result. I think we could play a little bit better but the players fought and never gave up through the game. We had very bad third set but came back the set fourth.

Brazil Captain Thiago Veloso:

Congratulations to Russia. It was a great match but we played less than we used to play. We are very sad about the result. There are too many competitions so let’s keep going. We are ready to win other matches tomorrow.
