Colombia gana la Copa Latina Sub-20


Las Jugadoras colombianas celebran después de su victoria en sets corridos sobre República Dominicana el domingo

Lima, Perú, 12 de mayo de 2013 - Colombia ganó la Copa Latina junior femenina de Voleibol con una victoria en sets corridos convincente sobre República Dominicana 25-17, 25-11, 25-15 en el Coliseo Eduardo Dibós el domingo.

En el partido por el tercer puesto, México derrotó a Perú en parciales corridos 25-21, 25-21, 24-26, 25-18.

Los cuatro equipos están clasificados para Campeonato Mundial Sub-20 Femenino FIVB a celebrarse en República Checa.

Los sólidos ataques de Danna Escobar marcaron la diferencia en el primer set, cuando las dominicanas fueron incapaces de detener a la opuesto del equipo sudamericano.

En el segundo set, Colombia dominó de principio a fin con la estrategia de saques y poderoso bloqueo.

Las dominicanas experimentaron problemas con la recepción en el tercer set y el partido terminó con un bloqueo de Ivonne Montano sobre la Dominicana Angelica Hinojosa.

Diana Arrechea fue la máxima goleadora de Colombia con 14 puntos, seguido por Melissa Rangel y Escobar, con 13 y 12 respectivamente. Pamela Soriano terminó con 12 para el equipo derrotado y Galia Gonzalez tuvo 10.
