Mexicali, Mexico, July 6 2013 - Belgian coach Steven Vanmedegael remarked that finishing in ninth place is the goal of his team after beating Egypt on Saturday.

Belgium is preparing for their final match of the tournament and Vanmedegael remarked that his team played very well but also Egypt did a great job in the two first sets.

He also praised the quality of their rivals that reached the second round at this Age Group World Championship.

Steven Vanmedegael, coach of Belgium: "We set a new goal at this round and it was to finish in ninth place. We played against a very good team like Egypt, congratulations to them because qualifying to a second round is not easy. You need experience in World Championships and that's why we are here."

Mohamed Ellakany, coach of Egypt: "Belgium had a good rotation and good service. They also played with a fastball and that is difficult for blocking. We were under pressure and also had many players with ankle and shoulder pain".

Sander Depovere, captain of Belgium: "We are very happy for winning this match in three sets. We are looking forward to finish in ninth place."

Ahmed Saleh, captain of Egypt: "I want to thank god, and congratulations to Belgium. We played very well on the first two sets, but we don't know what happened. We fell because we made mistakes."
