Chile to play against Mexico for 13th place

Mexicali, Mexico, July 6 2013 - Chile improved their performance and grabbed a victory against Turkey. That win put Daniel Nejamkin's team in the match for 13th place against hosts Mexico on Sunday.


Turkey had a very solid serve and fought hard in the first two sets. They won the second by a three point difference but on the other two, the Chileans kept a wide advantage.


Daniel Nejamkin, coach of Chile: "It was a very good match, too even in the first set. The 32-30 score speaks for itself. It was the same on the second set and They won. The Turkish team plays very well has a very good attack and very good setters."


Ali Kazi Hidayetoglu, coach of Turkey: "Congratulations to Chile for their second victory against us. They have a captain that is a real one. I believe that He will be a very good player in the future. I also believe in my team. Sometimes playing good some others not so good but we try to achieve the best that has been our first world championship." 


Dusan Bonacic, captain of Chile: "I am very glad for this result. We finally won and our teams crossed again at the Championship. We knew it was going to be difficult but we served well and worked with our block and defense."


Yigit Gulmezoglu, captain of Turkey: "It was the same thing. We tried to play well but all did go down, however is our first world championship and expect to get the best of it."
