Iran beat Egypt in four to advance to next round

Actions continued on wednesday at Mexicali State Auditorium. After this victory Iran return to Tijuana to play quarterfinals.

Mexicali, Mexico, July 3 2013 – Iran defeated Egypt 3-1 (25-14, 25-21, 20-25, 25-23) to advance to next round at FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship in a match that lasted 1 hour and 38 minutes at Mexicali Statel Auditorium.

Manavinezhad Mohammadjavad scored 21 points for the Iranian tieam, followed by Jaber Esmaesilpoor, who scored 14, while Verdian Sahand Allah and Akbar Valaei tallied 11 apiece.
Shehabeldeen Mohamed scored 14 for Egypt while Hisham Ewais finished with 11. 

Egypt had a fast start on the beginning of second set. However Iran recovered 16-13 and took the set on their favour. Both teams had a very balanced block, but injuries limited Egyptian setters. 

By the first technical timeout in the fourth set, Egypt led the score 8-5. However some fails on the attack that finished in balls out, marked the difference. 

Also in the individual game, serve estrategy was important for Iraj Mozafari’s team. 

Esmaeilpoor registered three aces, while Sahand Allah two.  Iran return to Tijuana to play the next round and will try to advance to semifinals.
