Poland team accomplish first objective

Poland's Bartosz Bucko hopes his team can play better and better in next matches

Tijuana, Mexico, July 1, 2013 – Poland’s Weislaw Czaja was happy to see his team claiming the top position of Pool C at the FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship but now is time to concentrate in more important things in the upcoming days.

As a veteran volleyball coach, Czaja knows that the preliminary round is in the past and they have to move on to pursue higher goals and plateaus.

Bartosz Bucko, captain of Poland: “I am very happy for the victory and about finishing first in our pool. I hope we continue improving match by match, I mean playing better and better.”

Lowie Stuier, captain of Belgium: “We played against a very strong team physically and technically. Now we need to concentrate in the matches that are really important for us. We need to be focused.”

Weislaw Czaja, coach of Poland: “We defeated Belgium and reached our first objective which was winning our pool. The first round has passed and now we have to concentrate in the next matches. We know it is going to be a tough opponent. The fatigue of the team is one of the problems.”

Steven Vanmedegael, coach of Belgium: “We fought as much as we could against the vice Champions of Europe. When they perform to the top of their game we can’t play against that kind of team. We now have to think in the games that are very important for us.”
