I would like to thank my coach, says Lizbeth Sainz


I trained very hard last year and I felt that the level of my play got better every month, said Mexico topscorer Lizbeth Sainz.

Brno, Czech Republic, June 30, 2013 – Lizbeth Sainz was the star for Mexico, dominating with her versatility and power game and scoring 15 points in the match. Mexico outclassed Algeria 25-11, 25-17, 25-15 to finish 15th at 2013 FIVB Women’s World Champs in Brno, Czech Republic. I was successful here and it is the merit of my coach as well, said Mexico spiker Lizbeth Sainz.

Mexico coach Estanislao Vachino: It is nice to win the last match of the tournament. Now we have to start with our work for next year. I would like to congratulate the Czech Republic: this tournament was very well organized. 

Mexico spiker Lizbeth Sainz: I am happy with our play today. I would like to thank my coach. I was successful here and it is his merit as well. I trained very hard last year and I felt that the level of my play got better every month.

Algeria coach Saidani Aimed Eddine: I told my players that they should fight without stress today. It happened but only during some moments. Then they committed many mistakes, especially in passing. 

Algeria captain Sarah Akroun: Today it was our last match here. Although I am tired, I am feeling very well now. We did what we could and the 16th place is a good result for us.
